#NACE22 is the premier gathering for college career services and corporate recruiting professionals to learn about leading practices, engage with globally-recognized subject matter experts, and connect with each other.
This year, the 2022 NACE Conference & Expo is in-person, virtual, or both! Making it flexible and entirely accessible, allowing everyone around the world to join. A selection of the team from Virtual Internships will be there in-person; they are eager to connect with professionals from both career services and corporate recruiting to talk about the barriers they and their students face when trying to access high-value work experience before entering the job market.
The conference will consist of speakers, sessions, and workshops, and as always will include executive leader meet-up opportunities and speed networking sessions when you have the chance to meet people from all different paths.
The keynote speakers are particularly spectacular this year. Marcus Samuelsson is an award-winning Chef, Restaurateur, Author, and Co-Owner of Red Rooster Harlem. He was the youngest person to ever receive a three-star review from The New York Times and has won multiple James Beard Foundation Awards, including Best Chef: New York City. He is also a committed philanthropist and is co-chair of Careers through Culinary Arts Program, which focuses on underserved youth.
Dr. Michelle R. Weise is Vice Chancellor of Strategy and Innovation for the National University System. She is the author of Long-Life Learning: Preparing for Jobs that Don’t Even Exist Yet (Wiley, 2021), which was awarded the 2021 Phillip E. Frandson Award for Literature by UPCEA (University Professional and Continuing Education Association). In her discussions, she will be focusing on preparing working-age adults for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
One of the planned Round Table Discussions is called: A view from the C-Suite and promises to allow us to see behind the curtain of how a successful business is run. The featured speaker for the virtual part of the conference is Bill Strickland, Founder and Chairman of Manchester Bidwell Corporation. He inspires hope, generates jobs, and empowers citizens to become experts in any field, regardless of their circumstances, and confidently shows how to pursue social restoration and profit with a conscience. His leadership fuels a deep desire to make the world we live in a better place. Anyone who hears Bill speak will undoubtedly be compelled to act.
Among the workshops, we are looking forward to Creating Virtual Inclusive High-Performing Teams, a topic dear to the hearts of all Virtual Internships’ employees whose locations span 17 countries and 5 continents.
While we are at NACE, we have several goals that include connecting with career services to:
NACE is our middle name as we base our entire online curriculum –the supporting foundation of all our internships– on the NACE Career Competencies. If young students/graduates can make tangible strides in all 8 NACE Competencies (and we ensure they do with constant mentoring and an active feedback loop), we are confident they will be well-prepared to take on their first professional role.
We will be at booth 214 and cannot wait to meet you! Please use the form below to set up a meeting with either Kelen Townsend, Partnership Account Manager, or Andy Radelet, Global Head of Enrollment.
We’ll see you there!
